Emergency Contact Information
Emergency calls should be directed to Public Safety. The on-campus the extension is 3611. If calling from off campus the number is 401-254-3611.
Weather and What to Bring
The weather in Rhode Island in June is beautiful. Average highs are 75 and lows are 55—60. Plan to bring clothes appropriate for summer, but since the campus is on the water and there is usually an off coast breeze, you will probably want a light sweater or jacket for evenings. If you plan to go on the Saturday night cruise you might want to bring along a jacket, comfortable shoes with traction and maybe even a warm hat if you plan to spend time on the deck! Temperatures can be 10--15 degrees cooler out on the water.
If you are staying in the dorm, please remember to bring towels. Pillows, sheets and blankets will be provided for those staying in the dorm. If you are staying at Bayside Court Apartments you do not need to bring anything. It is all included.
Please note that we have made our best effort to accommodate your roommate requests. However, if you and your roommate are not arriving at and departing from the conference on the same day, this may not have been feasible. If you are staying at Bayside Court Apartments there may be one, two or three bedrooms in your apartment; some may be double bedrooms, and some single.
We have been very busy organizing this event for you. Rhode Island is a beautiful state. Roger Williams University has a gorgeous campus. AmSAT’s Pre AGM and AGM provide the opportunity for learning and sharing and connecting from and with each other.
We are eager to share our Ocean State with the Alexander Technique community and look forward to welcoming you to the 2008 AGM!
Sincerely,
Your 2008 AGM Planning Committee: Mary Derbyshire, Chair
