International Alexander Awareness Week

International Alexander Awareness Week, October 6^th - 14^th, 2007

We are pleased to announce that in 2007, Alexander Societies in 14 countries are participating and gearing up for the fourth annual International Alexander Awareness Week, October 6^th- 14^th, 2007.

This began in June 2004, with the Centennial anniversary of Alexander's arrival in London. It was celebrated with an international, weeklong series of events in the U.S.A, England, and Australia. The goodwill, energy and promotion created by this Centennial celebration, inspired the Affiliated Societies to make this an annual, International event.

Teachers from fourteen countries will be celebrating International Alexander Awareness Week including:

America, Australia, Austria, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Look for the following activities and more during International Alexander Awareness Week, Oct. 6-14^th.

1. Some AmSAT Certified Alexander Technique Teachers may offer free individual "taster" lessons and group demonstrations in public venues.

2. Participating Alexander Technique Teacher Training Courses may open their doors so that the public can visit and find out about AmSAT teacher training.

3. Some Certified Alexander Technique teachers may make other, special offers in honor of Alexander Awareness Week.

4. Some Alexander Teachers celebrate by arranging group exchanges with other teachers during this week.
